Activities

The year 2009-2010 for savali was important and was full of hectic activity. SAVALI commenced its activities in 1992 and now SAVALI has grown to the present level due to its tireless efforts for the past 15 years. The basic objective of savali is to be self-reliant. Savali has worked hard for this objective and gradually obtained the good will of the society, SAVALI carries out its responsibility of caring, education and rehabilitating mentally disabled society. SAVALI has successfully enhanced awareness about the disability and therefore is able to carry out workshops and training programs not only in Maharashtra but in other states too.

The events for the year were as follows:-

December 25, 2009:- Students from Symbiosis had a blast while celebrating the “Christmas” with our children by singing, dancing and distributing sweets to them.
December 23, 2009:- December 8, 2009:- 8 students and 2 teachers from “Savali” Participated in the “International Festival” organized by Montessori School Luchnow. Various competitions were held at the event and our student shrirang Kulkarni won the first price in molding competition.
December 19, 2009 to December 21, 2009:- In this period, City Montessori School, Lucknow, UP have organized the International Festival . For this event eight students from SAVALI has participated. Two teachers accompanied them. Our student Shrirang Kulkarni got first prize in molding.
December 17, 2009:- Fifteen Students from our school participated in the district level sports competition organized by Apang Kalyan and Samai Kayan Commissionarate. Charushila Kamble and Hanumant Pujari won first and second price respectively.
November 30, 2009 and December 1, 2009:- A State Level Workshop was arranged by SAVALI in HRD in “Disability Sector and Quality Improvement” at Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Shivajinagar, Pune. The workshop was attended by 200 to 225 Course representatives, Co-ordinators and Heads of different organization.
November 17, 2009:- SAVALI organized a meeting for Teachers, Parents, Local Level Committee members, representatives from Commissioners office and heads of different organization with Mr. Atul Prasad, I.A.S officer and Joint Secretary of the “National Truest” in the school premises.
Saturday 14, November 2009:- “Dhondumama Sathe Homeopathic College” arranged free medical check-up for all the students of SAVALI, About 80 to 90 students were benifited by the programe.
Wednesday 14, October 2009:- Mrs. Shrotriya, a parent from SAVALI, received “Hirkani” (Adarsh Mata Puraskar) given by Lion’s Club every year.
Friday 25, September 2009:- “Bhondala” a cultural activity was organized in the premises of SAVALI as per our tradition. All the students form the school, training centre and the staff participated in the activity wearing traditional dresses.
Saturday 19, September 2009:- On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bramhashri Dattamaharaj Kavishwar the officers of “Rupee Co-op Bank” and “Mahayog Aashram” organized various social activities. As part of the activities “Moreshwarbua Joshi”, “Charholikar Maharaj” and “Gurubhavat Vinayak, Gajanan, Joshi” provided information and shared views on various subjects. They also donated food grains to SAVALI.
Friday 4, September 2009:- “General Body Meeting” of all the members & office bearers was held at SAVALI.
Saturday 15, August 2009:- SAVALI’S President Mr. Vasant. Thakar received sthe prestigious “Freedom Fighter Manohar Devchake” award for his exceptional work in the field of education & social services. This award was given by Resp. Madhusudan Kaundinya.
Wednesday 5, August 2009:- On the occasion of “Paksha Bandhan” guides and captains from9th std. of Smt. Prabhdevi Mohite Patil Vidyalaya, Kothrud celebrated the festival by tying “Rakhis” to the students of SAVALI.
Thursday 26, July 2009 :- On the occasion of “Ashadhi Rkadashi” a “Palkhi Rally” was organized in Bhusari colony. All the students, teachers, office bearers and the staff of savali participated in the rally. Mr.Shankar Kemse helped to organize this rally on Pt. Bhimsen. Joshi Udyan
Thursday 19, March 2009:- SAVALI arranged a session on “Stem Cell Therapy” for the parents. Dr Anant. Bagul shared his views and interacted with parents.
Sunday 8, February 2009 to Saturday 14, February 2009 1, February 2009:-
Savali’s training division students went to Hyderabad for “Annual educational tour”
Friday 20, February 2009 to Saturday 28, February 2009 1, February 2009:- SAVALI arranged special training for 40 teachers from Osmanabad under Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan scheme at Shikshk Bhavan, Navi Peth, Pune.
Sunday 1, February 2009 :- “Bhoomi Poojan” Of savali’s new project at Ambervet, Taluka-Mulshi by Mr. Jaising Kale- Trustee of ‘SAVALI’
